The World’s Largest Truck Convoy is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. The convoy is a celebration of the trucking industry where trucking companies, drivers, family and friends come together to raise money for Special Olympics Ontario (SOO).
Special Olympics Ontario is a charity that provides athletic training for people with intellectual disabilities. The organization strives to enhance and empower an individual’s physical, social, psychological development through positive sports experiences. The Truck Convoy has raised over $300,000 for this great cause and it continues to grow in size year over year.
The truck convoy consists of over 100 trucks from across the industry; you’ll see semis, large trucks, low-boys, flat beds, dump trucks, tow trucks, buses, and more! The event will take place on September 13th 2014 in Paris, Ontario, and local law enforcement will escort the convoy around parts of Southern Ontario, starting at the Paris Fairgrounds, in an effort to raise awareness.
The team at JBT Transport is proud to be involved in the trucking convoy. We invite you to come out to the event and support the cause. The fundraiser involves a day of family fun, a BBQ, prize draws, entertainment, an awards ceremony, and more. We hope to see you there!
